The Davis Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Pleasant Grove on Wednesday as Davis made off with a 61-37 win. The victory was nothing new for Davis as they're now sitting on three straight.
Tessa Schouten was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with eight rebounds. The match was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Jiana Trotman was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Davis is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Pleasant Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davis will face off against St. Francis at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Francis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Wednesday. Pleasant Grove will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Cosumnes Oaks at 6:30 p.m. on January 5th.
