Alex Trujillo posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out four batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.

Trujillo's effort led Ridgeview over Independence and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolf Pack are 8-1 against the Falcons going back to April of 2023, a lead they'll look to extend.
