If Dominguez was riding high fresh off their 60-17 takedown of Compton last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dominguez Dons took a hard 49-32 fall against the Crenshaw Cougars on Thursday. The Dons' loss signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Despite the defeat, Dominguez saw an underclassman step up: freshman MYA HARRIS almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards. HARRIS is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was KAYLA SCOTT, who posted seven points in addition to ten boards and three steals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dominguez fell to 12-1. As for Crenshaw, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Dominguez wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-36 victory against Santee on the 3rd. As for Crenshaw, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-33 loss against Northridge Academy on the 3rd.
