Veterans's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets as they made off with an 8-2 victory. Considering the Warhawks have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Veterans pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Thomas County Central, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Veterans beat the Yellow Jackets by a score of 7-3 on Thursday.
