The Wyatt Chaparrals can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Polytechnic 61-19 at home. Wyatt pushed the score to 44-16 by the end of the third, a deficit Polytechnic had little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wyatt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cynaa Weathers, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Zyniesha Horner, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Polytechnic struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Wyatt posted 14 assists.
Wyatt has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. As for Polytechnic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.
Wyatt will head out on the road to take on Everman at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Everman is on a five-game streak of home wins, Wyatt a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Polytechnic will take on Trimble Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Polytechnic comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
