Two dominant forwards in Olivia Molina and Hailey Wolbeck are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Ramona Rams will head out on the road to challenge the Hemet Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Ramona sitting on four straight victories and Hemet on ten.
Last Wednesday, Ramona humbled Patriot with a 61-28 victory. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 games by 20 points or more this season.

Ramona can attribute much of their success to Jaiden Tibbels, who posted 20 points along with seven boards and five assists, and Diana Najera, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine steals. The match was Tibbels' fourth in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molina, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.
Ramona smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Canyon Springs typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Hemet proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 50-41.
Hemet found their leader in sophomore Ruby Gonzalez- Horta, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards. Gonzalez- Horta continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Ruby Lindsey was another key player, putting up 13 points and three steals.
Hemet's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points over those games. As for Ramona, their victory bumped their record up to 23-5.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Ramona has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 39.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Hemet struggles in that department as they've been averaging 38.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Ramona against Hemet in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, as the team secured a 59-13 win. In that contest, Ramona amassed a halftime lead of 33-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
