Central Dauphin has been on the road for two straight, but on Sunday they'll finally head home. They will take on the North Allegheny Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Central Dauphin beat Chambersburg 38-25. Given Central Dauphin's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Chambersburg is ranked 360th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Alexis Ferguson was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with three steals and two blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lauren Cavoli, who scored seven points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, North Allegheny scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Cumberland Valley on the road to the tune of 69-25. Winning may never get old, but North Allegheny sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Central Dauphin's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for North Allegheny, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
