Making Waves Academy has gone 8-2 against Valley Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Marlins are taking a road trip to challenge the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Making Waves Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
Making Waves Academy barely beat Emerald the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Marlins were the clear victors by a 19-8 margin over the Aerouants on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Marlins.

Gustavo Rosas made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Rosas was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 21 games he's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Making Waves Academy got a massive performance out of DaMaury Olsen, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. Those three hits gave Olsen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Juan Gomez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Valley Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 12-7 win over Richmond on Tuesday.
Noa Capistrant was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Valley Christian: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Easton Hernandez was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Valley Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Valley Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Making Waves Academy, their record now sits at 11-5-1.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Making Waves Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .521. However, it's not like Valley Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Making Waves Academy's way against Valley Christian when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Making Waves Academy made off with an 18-8 victory.
