That makes it two consecutive games in which Heath has scored at least 25% of East Mecklenburg's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmari Hicks, who scored 23 points.
Piedmont's lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Bryan Little, who scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Miles Leaks, who scored 12 points.
East Mecklenburg's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Piedmont, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Mecklenburg will take on Rocky River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rocky River will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 311th, while East Mecklenburg is ranked 107th). As for Piedmont, they will head out on the road to face off against Union Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58 points per game.
