Chazy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Lake Placid Bombers. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Aiden Howell made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

In other batting news, Jack Demers and Zeke McLennan did most of the damage at the plate: Demers went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while McLennan went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. McLennan has become a key player for Chazy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 3-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jack Bell, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Chazy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Chazy's record now sits at 9-7. As for Lake Placid, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Looking ahead, Chazy will welcome Johnsburg Central at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Jaguars' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Lake Placid does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
