Georgia School for Innovation & Classics had lost four straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 16-9 to make it five. They came up short against the Augusta E Eagles, falling 11-3. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 16-6.
Georgia School for Innovation & Classics saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Crapps, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another was Ja'Fonzo Spivey, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Augusta E, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by seven runs or more this season.
On Augusta E's side, Eli Poteet and Jaiden Jacobsen made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Poteet tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
