They strolled past El Camino with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-38. This was payback for Canyon Crest Academy, who suffered a 62-54 loss the last time these two teams met.
Caroline Dysart was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Thrisha Boopathi was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Despite the defeat, El Camino saw an underclassman step up: Alana Hoskins dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 36.8% of El Camino's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Aleigha Tatum, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Canyon Crest Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. As for El Camino, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

As for El Camino, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Vista at 5:30 p.m. Vista presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than El Camino in California (Vista is ranked 453rd, while El Camino is ranked 1077th).
