This season hasn't been kind to the Gunn Titans, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They suffered a rough 42-22 defeat at the hands of Prospect on Monday. While losing is never fun, Gunn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1154th, while Prospect is ranked 500th).
It was another big night for Sadie Slaughter, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals for Prospect. That makes it four consecutive games in which Slaughter has scored at least 25% of Prospect's points. Japneet Dhillon was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Gunn's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Prospect, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Gunn will be playing in front of their home fans against Capuchino at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Prospect won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against King's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th.
