After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Henley, Marshfield was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 26-20 victory over the North Bend Bulldogs. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered a 21-12 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marshfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Enoch Niblett, who threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another pass catcher making a difference was Chandler Wyatt, who picked up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Marshfield didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Brody Ramey, Kaleb Fox, and Carter Mcgriff picked up one apiece. Lucas Folau was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Marshfield's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-7. As for North Bend, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
