After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maria Carrillo, the Miramonte Matadors were happy to have found some success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Las Lomas 59-29 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Miramonte also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Karena Eberts was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. The match was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Willa Mapaye, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Miramonte's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Las Lomas, they bumped their record down to 5-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Miramonte and Castro Valley will round out the year against one another at TBD on Thursday at. As for Las Lomas, they will square off against Rosemont at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
