Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bonita Vista to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mahliya Wilson, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Haydee Arancibia-hardwick was another key contributor, scoring five points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Mater Dei Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Awen Carrillo, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals, and Valentina Aranalde who scored nine points.
Bonita Vista has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-12.
