The 2010 baseball season has come to an end with the Sumrall Bobcats once again atop the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Rankings, presented by Milk.
Three teams entered the Xcellent Rankings this week, but none managed to crack the top 25, leaving the Bobcats as the top team for the second year in a row. Sumrall, which won its third straight Mississippi 3A state championship, received strong competition from Pace, which captured the Florida 5A state championship, and Archbishop Mitty, which was the top team in California after winning the Central Coast Section Division I title.
The only three new teams this week are Eden Prairie, the 3A champion in Minnesota, Pleasant Grove, the 3A champ in Texas, and Poquoson, the AA champion in Virginia.
MaxPreps will post the final Top 100 rankings with a season review for each team on July 8.
