Paradise barely beat Pierce the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bears a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.
Aydrik Stolz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Paradise got a massive performance out of Michael Anderson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Jack Kegg was another key player, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Paradise always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
