OSSEO, Minn. -
Osseo (Minn.) snapped the four-game winning streak of
Andover (Minn.), with a 20-7 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Matt Miedtke in the first quarter, the Orioles led 7-0 at the half.
Both teams scored seven points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at seven entering the fourth.
Andover's only touchdown came on a 2-yard run by
Derek McLaughlin in the third quarter.
Osseo also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 41-13.
The defeat comes as a step back for Andover, who notched a 35-20 victory over Elk River in its previous outing. The win brought Osseo's winning streak to three games.
Osseo (4-1) will play a Northwest Suburban game against Park Center next week, while Andover (4-1) will take on Totino-Grace also in a Northwest Suburban game.
