Claysburg-Kimmel found their leader in underclassman Zailee Bush, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bush has scored all season. Bailey Tipton was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Fannett Metal's defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.4 points per game. As for Claysburg-Kimmel, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fannett Metal will take on Shalom Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
