After a string of six wins, the Tahoma Bears's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 70-56 fall against Federal Way. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Tahoma has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Tahoma lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Stephens. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stephens has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Brown, who scored 11 points.
Tahoma's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5. As for Federal Way, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tahoma will take on Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Decatur has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Federal Way, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Mt. Rainier at 7:00 p.m. Mt. Rainier will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Federal Way is ranked 32nd).
