The Riverton Wolverines were the 48-43 winner over the Thunder Basin Bolts when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. Riverton fell just short of Thunder Basin by a score of 46-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Riverton has scored all season.
Riverton lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dre'vin Monroe, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Parker Paxton, who scored 13 points.
Riverton's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Thunder Basin, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
Riverton and Natrona County will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Natrona County will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Thunder Basin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Sioux Valley at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th.
