This season hasn't been kind to the Patton Panthers, who are still winless after their 7th match. They received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 33-6 to R-S Central. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Patton in their matchups with R-S Central: they've now lost four in a row.
Marcus Logan had a dynamite game for R-S Central, rushing for 182 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. That's the first time this season that Logan rushed for 100 or more yards. Another player making a difference was Marcus Mckinney, who rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
R-S Central's win bumped their record up to 2-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patton will take on Brevard at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brevard is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. R-S Central will be playing in front of their home fans against East Rutherford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Rutherford's offense is coming in hot, having posted big point totals in three straight games.
