The Mayfair Monsoons will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Buena Park Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. Mayfair will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 786th, while Buena Park is ranked 113th).
Last Friday, Mayfair had to suffer through a rough 70-32 loss at the hands of California.
Buena Park can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They blew past Los Alamitos 67-31 at home. Buena Park might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five matchups by 33 points or more this season.
Gloria Barrera had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Barnes, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Mayfair has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Buena Park, they pushed their record up to 8-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
