The Ramona Rams's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Patriot Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Ramona's strategy against the Braves on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Ramona blew the Braves out of the water with a 65-33 final score. With Ramona ahead 35-9 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ramona to victory, but perhaps none more so than Olivia Molina, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Athena Berber, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Patriot came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 66-17 win over Arlington on the road. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Patriot had established a 33 point advantage.
Ramona has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Patriot, their win bumped their record up to 10-16.
Ramona took their win against the Warriors in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 61-39. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Patriot's Giselle Tiscare?o, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Ramona still be able to contain Tiscare?o? There's only one way to find out.
