Piedmont has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the East Mecklenburg Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Mecklenburg took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Piedmont, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Piedmont was able to grind out a solid win over East Gaston, taking the game 44-31.
Piedmont got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Camryn Kaminski out in front who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Emily Polk was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, East Mecklenburg's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 51-34 to Sun Valley. East Mecklenburg has struggled against Sun Valley recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Presense Downer, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals.
Piedmont's victory lifted them to 2-1 while East Gaston's loss dropped them down to 0-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Tuesday's contest: Piedmont have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 4 threes per game. It's a different story for East Mecklenburg, though, as they've been averaging only 2.2 per game. Given Piedmont's sizeable advantage in that area, East Mecklenburg will need to find a way to close that gap. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
