Granada and Amador Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Matadors are taking a road trip to challenge the Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Amador Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Granada, who comes in off a win.
Granada can't be too worried about heading out to take on Amador Valley: they just beat Pittsburg at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Matadors came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Matadors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Mason Ravera looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joey Marasco, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Peyton Richards also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.
Meanwhile, Amador Valley suffered their biggest defeat since April 12, 2024 on Friday. They lost 11-2 to San Ramon Valley. The Dons have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
Amador Valley also got a good showing from Elliot De La Torre, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.
Granada pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Amador Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Everything went Granada's way against Amador Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Granada made off with an 8-2 victory. Do the Matadors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
