Basketball Recap: Veritas Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Veritas Academy waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They had just enough and edged Christian School of York out 37-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Monarch also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Despite the defeat, Christian School of York had strong showings from Charleigh Atkinson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, and Kaitlynn Fuller, who posted 12 points and six boards. Atkinson is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.

Veritas Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Christian School of York, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Veritas Academy will venture away from home to take on Harrisburg Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Christian School of York, they will square off against Dayspring Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
