The Springdale Dynamos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 90-20 defeat at the hands of Clairton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Springdale in their matchups with Clairton: they've now lost four in a row.
Iyanna Wade was her usual excellent self, scoring 40 points for Clairton. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which Wade has scored at least a third of Clairton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of K Brown, who scored 19 points.
Springdale has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Clairton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springdale on the road again on Monday and play against Ellis at 5:15 p.m. on February 5th. As for Clairton, they will take on Serra Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
