Everett has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Bedford Bisons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Everett focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Everett gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Claysburg-Kimmel 51-28. Given Everett's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Claysburg-Kimmel is ranked 572nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cloe Price was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 22 points, nine rebounds, and nine steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Everett's points. Jade Colledge was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Bedford's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 63-35 loss at the hands of Bishop McCort. Bedford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-16.
Despite the loss, Bedford saw an underclassman step up: Rebekah Costal scored 13 points. That was a full 37.1% of Bedford's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Mcdevitt, who scored nine points.
Everett's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Bedford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Everett was able to grind out a solid win over Bedford when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 49-38. Will Everett repeat their success, or does Bedford have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
