After soaring to four goals the game before, the Nevada Union Miners were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Placer by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Nevada Union of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Nevada Union has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11-1 record this season. As for Placer, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ponderosa the next time they take the pitch. Placer will host Ponderosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Nevada Union will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
