The Santiago Cavaliers won against the La Quinta Aztecs last Monday with 43 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Santiago came out on top against La Quinta by a score of 43-35. Santiago didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.
Despite the loss, La Quinta still got an impressive performance from Katie Nguyen, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Katelyn Vo, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Santiago's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for La Quinta, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Santiago will take on Loara at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Loara focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for La Quinta, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Rancho Alamitos at 6:00 p.m.
