The King-Chavez Community Lions are on the road again on Friday and plays the O'Farrell Charter Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on February 9th.
Last Tuesday, King-Chavez Community took a serious blow against Ocean View Christian, falling 42-3. King-Chavez Community was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-1.
Meanwhile, O'Farrell Charter entered their tilt with Gompers Prep Academy with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. O'Farrell Charter strolled past Gompers Prep Academy with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 37-18.
O'Farrell Charter relied on the efforts of Liona Rusom, who scored nine points, and Elyse Bogard, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bogard has scored all season.
King-Chavez Community's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.0 points per game. As for O'Farrell Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season.
