Burbank hasn't had much luck against Franklin recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Titans will venture away from home to take on the Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Burbank beats Franklin with 12 runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Titans didn't even let West Campus on the board on Thursday, marking the Titans' second-straight 12-0 shutout. The victory was nothing new for the Titans as they're now sitting on four straight.
Uriel Angulo made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Kevion Duplessis and Kevin Duplessis did most of the damage at the plate: Kevion went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Kevin went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Kevion has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Devin Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Burbank kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Franklin made easy work of Weston Ranch on Wednesday and carried off a 13-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.
Dallas Campoy was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Franklin is undefeated when Campoy posts two or more runs, but 10-11 otherwise. Miguel Rojas was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Burbank pushed their record up to 17-10 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Franklin, their record is now 15-11.
Burbank suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Franklin in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
