The Fort Myers Green Wave will face off against the Palmetto Ridge Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Myers is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Fort Myers made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Charlotte, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Green Wave blew past the Fightin' Tarpons 12-5 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Green Wave, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Dylan Thomas looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Fort Myers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Palmetto Ridge didn't have quite enough to beat First Baptist Academy on Thursday and fell 7-5.
Bryce Obrian was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits.
On the hitting side, Tommy Cox was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Palmetto Ridge is 2-1 when Cox posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise.
Fort Myers pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Palmetto Ridge, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fort Myers hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. However, it's not like Palmetto Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
