The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders's game  on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Saturday. They walked away with  a   53-41  win over Valhalla. Winning is a bit easier when  you  nail six more threes than your opponent, as St. Joseph Academy did.
  Luciana Aguilar was  her usual excellent self,  scoring 22 points along with nine  rebounds and eight  steals. Another player making a difference was  Nancy Chavez, who  scored 15 points along with five  steals.
 When it comes to explaining why Valhalla lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Alexandra Amaya. Despite the final result, she  scored 14 points along with nine  rebounds and two  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Amaya has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alexis Matos, who  scored 11 points along with eight  assists and seven  rebounds.
 St. Joseph Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Valhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Academy will take on Bishop's at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Bishop's is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. As for Valhalla, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Santana at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Santana has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 23.
