The Panorama Pythons will face off against the Sherman Oaks CES Knights at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
Panorama came up short against Fulton on Wednesday, falling 17-6. The Pythons have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Panorama saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yahir Diaz, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Sherman Oaks CES waltzed into their game on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Regents a 13-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Nicholas Bilicic made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrian Friedman, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Blake Stockton, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Sherman Oaks CES was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in five consecutive matchups.
Sherman Oaks CES' win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Panorama, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Panorama hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Sherman Oaks CES struggles in that department as they've averaged .355. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Panorama might still be hurting after the 27-0 loss they got from Sherman Oaks CES when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Pythons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
