The Cameron County Raiders lost against the Coudersport Falcons back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cameron County fell to the Falcons 41-36. While losing is never fun, Cameron County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 617th, while the Falcons are ranked 260th).
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Navaeh Spaeth, who scored 15 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elsie Bresslin, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Cameron County has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Coudersport, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cameron County will challenge the Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Port Allegany is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. Coudersport will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Terrors at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th.
