Baseball Recap: Crosspointe Christian Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

CrossPointe Christian Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Skipstone Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Everything went the CrossPointe Christian Academy Cavaliers' way against the Skipstone Academy Warriors on Monday as the CrossPointe Christian Academy Cavaliers made off with a 21-8 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Cavaliers as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Blaise Bridgman made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off five hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, CrossPointe Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Banks Casey, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Luke Smith, who scored four runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

CrossPointe Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .650. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skipstone Academy only posted an OBP of .469.

CrossPointe Christian Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Skipstone Academy, their record is now 1-1.
