Softball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Keota's Fourth in Last Five Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Porum, Keota was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Gans Grizzlies an 8-0 shutout. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Keota has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Gans, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keota will square off against McCurtain at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Gans, they will take on Watts at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
