Propelled by an undefeated state title in 2012 and five second-place finishes, Middletown is the most dominant high school football team from Delaware in the last decade.
Based on MaxPreps methodology, the Cavaliers amassed 333 points from play over 2010 to 2019 to edge Salesianum, which finished second with 266 points.
Middletown also won a state crown in 2011 and has been ranked first or second in the state seven of 10 seasons. Salesianum won a state title in 2013 and was runner-up in 2012 and 2018.
