The Sheldon Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight defeat. Their tough 5-0 loss to Franklin might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Sheldon of the 9-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Sheldon has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13-2 record this season. As for Franklin, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2-2.
Sheldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for the Wildcats, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. The Wildcats are coming into the game with four straight victories at home, meaning the Yellowjackets will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
