Vela is a perfect 4-0 against Juarez-Lincoln since October of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Vela has three straight victories, Juarez-Lincoln has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
While Vela's win against McAllen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Sabercats narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 10-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Sabercats have posted since September 20, 2024.
