Calhoun had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Heritage on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets never let the Generals get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The Yellow Jackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Calhoun is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season.
