The Happy Camp Indians lost against the Tulelake Honkers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Happy Camp took a 47-32 bruising from the Honkers. Happy Camp has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tulelake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makenzie Perez led the charge by scoring 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mareli Hernandez, who scored 16 points.
Happy Camp's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Tulelake, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.
Happy Camp will head out on the road to square off against the at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tulelake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Crosspoint Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Honkers in their respective states (the Warriors are ranked 224th in Oregon, while the Honkers are ranked 1043rd in California).
