North Paulding and Parkview are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Wolfpack will welcome the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Paulding will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
North Paulding is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over Buford. That's two games straight that the Wolfpack have won by just one run.
Meanwhile, while Parkview put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Cherokee. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Warriors. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Not much got past Daelan Jones-Teasley, who gave up just a hit to keep Cherokee off the board. Jones-Teasley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Joseph Mendez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Norman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Parkview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
North Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 30-5. As for Parkview, their win bumped their record up to 23-15.
North Paulding was able to grind out a solid victory over Parkview in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 5-0. Will the Wolfpack repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
