Wilson is 0-10 against the Eagles since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wilson Mules will head out on the road to challenge the Eagle Rock Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Wilson is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
On Wednesday, Wilson came up short against the Panthers and fell 49-40. While losing is never fun, Wilson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 750th, while the Panthers are ranked 333rd).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Dailyn M, who scored 19 points. Emily M was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Eagle Rock had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They blew past Lincoln 58-5 on the road. Eagle Rock has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 22 points or more this season.
Wilson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Eagle Rock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
Wilson was taken down by the Eagles 52-22 when the teams last played back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Wilson was down 34-13.
