After flying high against the California City Ravens last Friday, the Highland Scots came back down to earth. Highland had to suffer through a rough 58-31 loss at the hands of East Bakersfield. Highland lost against East Bakersfield in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 54-10 score last time.
Despite the loss, Highland still got an impressive performance from Eternety Proctor, who scored 9 points. Sari Scroggs was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for East Bakersfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Highland will head out on the road to face off against Exeter at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Bakersfield, they will square off against Santa Maria at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
