Southwestern Academy was led to victory by Michelle Fakrogha and Marifer Durand. Fakrogha scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Durand almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals. That's the first time this season that Fakrogha scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Valza Jusufi, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Southwestern Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for New Harvest Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Southwestern Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against International School of Los Angeles at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (International School of Los Angeles is ranked 1315th, while Southwestern Academy is ranked 1328th).
