Rockmart won against North Murray on Thursday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Yellowjackets blew past the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Rockmart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Coming up, Rockmart will face off against Sonoraville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Phoenix's pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Yellowjackets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against North Murray on the 23rd.
